因動力增加的需求而造成機關車的長度越來越長.但長度越長過彎的半徑要越大.所以發展articulate結構來解決此問題.基本上有三種Articulated Locomotive(關節式蒸汽機關車) Mallet, Meyer, Garratt式
美國的articulate蒸汽機關車大多是Mallet式.而其他地區採用Meyer或Garratt式. BR79的前身為Saxon State Railroad Class XV HTV於1916年製造. 此機關車是Meyer式並採用Klien-Lindner關節軸承系統.使得機關車能在狹彎行駛.但是此型蒸汽機關車因為問題不斷服役短短十年便被停用.
此模型是HO Gauge,由Trix出品的BR79001號機
細緻度: 不知道Trix的Fine Art系列是誰幫它作的.感覺上此模型有別於其他Korea所作的銅車.不華麗但細緻度夠(連Klien-Lindner Axle都有作出來).
運轉:未知(三軌式,無適當軌道試車)

Regarding 2-rail version, sometimes, you can find this model, which is posted on the Germany E-bay. However, not very sure if the model is 2-rail or 3-rail version since the description is in Dutch. Basically, if they post the models for worldwide selling, they will answer your question. I did not familiar with Trix's products and did not realize Trix has 3-rail version. That is the reason I got this 3-rail model accidently. Next time if somebody sells this model, I will forward the information to you. Best Regards, R
